The ceremony itself had one of the most memorable moments I’ve ever photographed. As guests waited for the rings, an owl swooped in to deliver them — but not before having a little fun of its own. It circled, paused, teased the crowd, and gave everyone a moment they’ll be talking about for years. It was magical, hilarious, and completely perfect for a couple who wanted their day to feel unique.
After the ceremony, the celebrations moved outside where the bridal party joined Lyndsay & David for smoke bomb photos — vibrant colours, huge laughs, and that infectious energy that followed them everywhere. It was one of those moments where you could feel just how loved they are by the people around them.
As the sun dipped and dinner came to an end, the atmosphere shifted from elegant to electric. Clanadonia’s drummers burst into the courtyard, filling the evening with pounding rhythms and wild Scottish energy. Guests poured outside, dancing, cheering, and completely losing themselves in the moment. It was raw, loud, joyful — the kind of scene that makes Kinmount House feel alive.

Some weddings feel magical… and then there are weddings like Luana & Steven’s, where the magic is matched with pure, unstoppable energy. They flew all the way from America to Scotland to celebrate their day, choosing the breathtaking Crossbasket Castle as their home base — the perfect backdrop for a celebration that was equal parts elegant, emotional, and wildly fun.
The morning began within the castle’s historic walls, where the bridal party — all twenty‑two of them — filled the rooms with laughter, music, and that electric pre‑wedding buzz. It was the kind of atmosphere photographers dream of: beautiful light, beautiful details, and a group who were clearly ready to celebrate from the very first moment.
From there, everyone travelled to the stunning Coats Memorial for the ceremony. The architecture, the emotion, the scale of the bridal party… every moment felt cinematic. Luana was absolutely radiant, and Steven’s face when he saw her said everything. It was a ceremony full of heart, connection, and the kind of joy that makes you forget you’re working and just feel lucky to witness it.
After the “I do’s,” it was back to Crossbasket Castle for a reception that can only be described as legendary. With Jonny Ruiz from Tartan on the decks, the dancefloor was never empty — not for a single second. Their bridal party of 22 brought the energy all night, and at one point the bride herself jumped behind the DJ booth, taking over the decks and sending the room into absolute chaos in the best possible way.
Luana & Steven’s wedding was one of those rare days where every moment felt alive — full of personality, full of love, and full of the kind of energy that stays with you long after you’ve packed up your cameras. An epic couple, an epic party, and a day I’ll never forget.
